Be part of the Traverse Scholarship Fund!

In the spirit of banding together in uncertain times, we’re asking: How can the Traverse community help each other out? Sometimes, we have unfilled spots on a trip. And sometimes, some of our Traverse tribe goes through tough seasons where money is tight. And sometimes, other members of our Traverse tribe are going through a season of abundance and wondering “how could I make someone’s day”? 

It’s like a ven diagram of where everyone’s needs, problems and solutions meet.

You can either Become a Sponsor or Apply for a Scholarship. Here’s how it works:

For every $500 contributed to our Scholarship Fund, we’ll match $500 in credits to the scholarship recipient. That could mean a $1,000 scholarship to someone who wants and needs a life-changing trip but is in a tricky financial position to make it happen just now.

Become a sponsor in four easy steps:

  1. Fill out our Sponsor Intake Form below and tell us why you want to sponsor a scholarship and what you hope the recipient will get out of this experience. 

  2. Submit your pledge here. Scholarship Funds are in $500 increments, and you can submit as many as you’d like!

  3. Receive your official Traverse Scholarship Fund Sponsor Certificate and be recognized on our upcoming Traverse Scholarship Fund Thank You Wall!

  4. Stay tuned in our What’s New at Traverse and an exclusive Scholarship Sponsor emails to hear about the lucky recipient of this incredible gift!

Apply for a Scholarship

Are you going through a tough financial moment, perhaps with a job loss, a salary cut or a major life transition? And would travel be just the thing to clear your head, provide inspiration and reset your soul for the path forward? Apply for our scholarship fund to help offset the costs of your next adventure!

Apply for a scholarship with these steps:

  1. Fill out our Scholarship Intake Form and tell us why you are applying and what you hope to get out of this experience.

  1. Review our terms below. Scholarship funds are for $1,000 toward your select trips and you must demonstrate financial need.

  2. Receive a reply within two weeks of your application. If you are selected, your official Traverse Scholarship Fund Recipient Certificate will be sent to you with your travel options!

  3. After your travels, take part in our Scholarship Fund Recipient Debrief and Testimonial, including a thank you to your donor!

Traverse Scholarship Funds Terms & Conditions:

  • Scholarship Sponsor funds are non-refundable, non-transferable and will be used to offset travel costs of the Scholarship Recipient’s travels.

  • Scholarships are offered for select Traverse Journeys trips at company’s discretion. 

  • Scholarship Recipients must demonstrate financial need in order to qualify. 

  • Scholarship Recipients must be 18 years or older.

  • One (1) scholarship of $1,000 per Scholarship Recipient will be awarded. Applicants may not apply for multiple scholarships. Funds must be used within 12 months from the award date.

  • Scholarship will be applied to Trip Invoice as a Credit toward the total amount due. Scholarship Funds may not be combined with any additional discounts. 

  • Scholarship Recipient commits to abiding by Traverse Journeys Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions. 

  • Scholarship Recipient commits to taking part in our Scholarship Fund Recipient Debrief and Testimonial.
